California Association of Recreation and Park Districts
I am sometimes asked to collaborate with brands, events, or retail stores, and at other times I am invited to contribute work for nonprofit organizations. In the fall of 2022, CARPD approached me about featuring my artwork in their publications. I have been providing artwork for them for several years, typically using existing pieces. This year, however, I was asked to create a new work. The project focused on a location I had long wanted to paint, and it provided the motivation to bring that artwork to life.
I painted Lone Cypress in the fall of 2025 for CARPD’s conference in Monterey, that will be held in the spring of 2026.
A little about CARPD from their website:
The California Association of Recreation and Park Districts, CARPD, is a 501c(6), not-for-profit organization representing special recreation and park districts throughout California.
CARPD has been dedicated to improving the quality and efficiency of recreation and park districts. Through the joint powers authority, California Association for Park and Recreation Indemnity ("CAPRI"), CARPD members are eligible for reduced rates on Workers' Compensation Coverage and Liability/Property Damage Insurance; saving local communities thousands of dollars.
